A couple of years ago I discovered Tigers Jaw and suffered the imminent heartbreak when I thought they’d thrown in the towel. But here we are, 2015 and last year’s ‘Charmer’ as proof that the band aren’t ready to call it a day just yet.
Signed to Run For Cover Records – home of such similar artists as Pity Sex, Modern Baseball and mewithoutYou – the band are often associated as part of the emo revival scene; yet casting off any commonly associated stigma that befalls the genre, Tigers Jaw prove themselves to be vitally divergent of their familiars amidst a bedrock of playful pop punk guitar work.
Their UK tour begins in Southampton on the 5th August, before the band head to Bristol’s Exchange the day after, with Foxing confirmed as official support.
