You’d have been a fool to think that The Libertines would let their third album arrive without some spontaneous and ramshackle happenings. Leaving us far from disappointed, the good old ship of Albion will stop by Bristol for an intimate show at the Academy next week.

As part of just five small shows across the country, tickets vanished within minutes for this one. Just weeks after the bands headline shows at Reading And Leeds, there’s an air of excitement and occasion basking around this intimate affair.

The new record ‘Anthems For The Doomed Youth’ so far proves that they’ve moved forward with a current and fresh sound. We’ll undoubtedly hear a fair-share of new tracks on the night as well as the swirling romantic messes of old. Literally anything could happen on this night given the abrupt nature of Doherty and Barat, we just can’t wait to see the madness unfold.
