Popular European festival Booze Cruise is coming to Bristol. Bringing some exhilerating punk rock from around the world to the UK for the first time, the festival sets off around some of Bristol’s most intimate and sweaty venues for a weekend at the end of May.
Heading up a second lot of bands joining the bill for 2019 are London favourites Apologies, I Have None, with the exciting Mercy Union – which features members of The Gaslight Anthem + The Scandals – joining them. Alongside them are various favourites of the punk scene including Vacation, Traverse and Swansea’s Sssnakes. They all join previously announced headliners Tiny Moving Parts and many more across the weekend.
The Exchange, Stag and Hounds, Two’s Company and Old Market Assembly will all play host to a litany of punk rock excitement, while the bands will also take to the water down on the docks with a venue to be announced.
Discussing the first UK Booze Cruise festival, organiser Stefan Jonas shares: “We like Booze Cruise to feel like a boozy gathering of friends rather than a music festival. We love small, sweaty, wild shows, so seeing bands playing in clubs with a max capacity of 350 —all day long for 3 days straight—sounds like paradise to me. That, and you don’t need to sleep in a tent!”
Booze Cruise Festival takes place from the 24th – 26th May. Tickets are £55 for a weekend pass, with day tickets also available here. For the full Booze Cruise Bristol line-up so far, see the poster below.
