Album news is always good isn’t it? Only very rarely are we told bad news about upcoming albums. It’s either no news (DAMN YOU FRANK OCEAN) or really good news. So without further ado, let me tell you some good news.
Muncie Girls, Exeter’s must fun punk band, have announced the release of their debut album! That’s right, on the 4th March, you’ll be able to get your grubby mitts on ‘From Caplan To Belsize’. And as a special treat, they’ve also released their first track from the album, ‘Balloon’. It’s a lovely little slice of pop-punk, one that the band say “is supposed to have a different feel than the rest, in that it is somewhere between reflective and hopeful. But basically it’s about a breakup.“ Grab some headphones, take yourself away and get your heartstrings pulled. There’s also a fun little “non-video” of singer Lande holding a balloon.
The three piece have also announced a mini tour to show off their new material, taking on Exeter, Brighton and London with a new set of support bands every time, including Bristol Live favourites Doe and Birdskulls. As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve announced a full UK tour as well, this time including a date in Bristol. They’ll be playing the Stag & Hounds on the 3rd April and I fully expect to see you there.
