28th – 29th July | Gilcombe Farm, Somerset
One of Britain’s most unique and intimate festivals is back for its 12th year. On the 28th and 29th July, Farmfest will bring together a varied selection of eccentric, dedicated festival-goers for a weekend driven by some of the best emerging and established left-of mainstream talent.
Blending together the worlds of indie, folk, electronic and jazz, the festival prides itself on the motto, ‘genre meets no border’. Tom Jenkinson aka Squarepusher, will be bringing his newest project, Shobaleader One to the Main Stage on Friday to play his classics with a full band. Expect some mesmerising melodies, electronic grooves and a full visceral experience like no other. Second headliner, Roots Manuva, will be taking over on Saturday and blasting the audience with his classic anthems, with their grimey bass and poignant lyricism. This cult favourite will be performing with a full band too – not to be missed.
Other acts include, the hip-hop fuelled DJ Yoda, Melt Yourself Down, This Is The Kit, and soulful groovemaster George Evelyn aka Nightmares On Wax. There’s also Session Victim, Max Graef, Actress, Greg Wilson, our own Oliver Wilde, Beans On Toast and many, many more idiosyncratic acts for attendees to experience.
Nestled in the beautiful Somerset countryside, this year promises a gathering of eccentric characters and wonderful artists across seven stages, everyone making the most of it before the event’s year off in 2018. With a crowd consciously capped at 5,000, this intimate – typically sellout – weekend will have a community feel to it unlike any other.
