4th November | Rough Trade
After the release of her fourth solo studio album this September, the superb On Dark Horses, Emma Ruth Rundle will be returning to Bristol this Sunday (4th) for a sold-out show at Rough Trade, one of the preliminary dates of her latest UK tour, supported by Jay Jayle and by Patrick Walker.
Some may be familiar with Rundle from her tenure in bands such as The Nocturnes, Red Sparrowes, and Marriages, which have doubtless shaped the nature of her solo work. Intricate guitar patterns colour the range of Rundle’s output, working in tune with her siren-like vocal range and the candid nature of her lyrics, to create something truly beautiful; it’s intimate but it’s also bold.
Rundle is joined for the entire tour by fellow Sargent House labelmates and regular collaborators, Jaye Jayle. Rundle provided the cover photo for their June release, No Trail and Other Unholy Paths and appeared alongside them on the 2017 split-release The Time Between Us.
If you’ve managed to nab tickets, Sunday night at Rough Trade looks set to be something spectacular.
