Welcome to part two of 2018 in Photos, which takes you through the end of spring touring season and into the fringes of the festival season, or as it turned out, straight out of winter clothes and into summer ones. The May Bank Holiday served as early training for long days of leisure and sonic pleasure to come.
Bristol decamped en masse to Bath for IDLES at The Komedia in April. Not sure what Jane Austen would have made of their set, but I’m pretty sure the Romans would have given their gladiatorial performance the thumbs up. Ezra Furman gave an accomplished performance of that beautiful 2018 album Transangelic Exodus at The Colston Hall in May. Just to think – these photos are only a sample of what was going on in our fine city. Check out the photo credits and featured artists by hovering the cursor over the photo in the sliding gallery.
