Waxahatchee is the indie folk pseudonym of Katie Crutchfield, also known for her contributions in indie rock band P.S Eliot.

Hailing from Alabama, which provides a clear backdrop to her namesake and recordings – most notably her bedroom recorded lo-fi debut ‘American Weekend’ – her lyrics are deeply introspective, full of personal, heartfelt and honest observations.

After the critical success of 2013’s ‘Cerulean Salt’, and this year’s subsequent follow-up, ‘Ivy Tripp’, Waxahatchee is set to tour the UK in support of the album, including her first Bristol date at the Fleece.

This is not one to miss, so come on down and see one of this generation’s most laudable folk artists. You may regret it otherwise.
