6th October | The Island
After three years of ever-exhilarating nights and hypnotic sets from the most eclectic and desired of names, revered Bristol-based electronic label Timedance have announced their intention to call time on their events at The Island. To celebrate their time together, Timedance have announced three final nights across the next three months which bring together old friends and new and embody just what is so rewarding about the label and the nights they have previously held.
Part I welcomes three old friends who have seen their careers flourish since last appearing with the label. Headlining the event, Bruce returns for what’ll be an extra-celebratory set as he releases his first full-length Sonder Somatic this month through Hessle Audio. Expect club-ready beats infused with all variety of unexpected genres to craft something concise and consuming. Mun Sing, the project of Harry Wright from Giant Swan, is a sheer brick wall of noise; expect to be hit in the face by its power and absolutely love it. Sybil, member of the progressive London collective SIREN, opens the night with some disorientating and evocative techno.
The relationship between the label and venue has become an integral part of Bristol’s electronic/dance community and we can think of no better way to celebrate that than with these closing chapters.
