The term ‘pop icon’ might be too cliché for some, however when it comes to one of 2016’s breakthrough artists, the term is more so fitting than ever.

Singer, songwriter and producer Shura has released one of this year’s top albums with her debut Nothing’s Real – a record that not only pushes the pop genre to new heights but also showcasing an artist that’s both exciting and honest in her work.

Shura’s poignant lyricism flowed with distinctive pop sensibilities standouts throughout. Whether you’ve been introduced to her music recently or have been following her from day one, Shura’s story is no doubt memorable. Her words on relationships, personal experiences and equality are relatable in it’s vulnerability, brought to life by the colourful and slick production sequences that oozes with such emotion and originality, resulting to her worldwide acclaim over the past 12 months.

Following her US tour with Tegan & Sara, Shura makes one last tour stop of the UK this December, stopping by Bristol’s Trinity Centre. This is probably your last chance to catch the artist in such an intimate setting and experience a fantastic album live in full.
