3rd October | O2 Academy
Having last been through the O2 Academy at the forefront of DIY Magazine’s ‘Class of 2018’ Tour earlier in the year, Pale Waves ought to have felt daunted at the prospect of being appointed head prefects of that particular cohort, but they carried off the role with the gravitas it warranted.
Off the back of September’s My Mind Makes Noises album, they returned to the same venue in their own right this week, to envelop the three tiers of the O2 Academy in their singular brand of goth-pop. Heather Baron-Gracie and her equally shadowy counterparts must have been one of the most frequently photographed bands of the year so far. Not to one be left out, Alesha Hickmans caught them in full momentum.
