It’s been six years since their last record, ‘The Devil, You + Me’, but German indie-rockers The Notwist have shown us that over the past 20 years, they’ve never lost their ability to pioneering unique, experimental electric-flavoured guitar music.
Now they’re back with the release of brand new album ‘Close To The Glass’ (City Slang), supported by several strings of dates across Europe. They will be hitting the UK with a four-date run this March, including shows at The Fleece in Bristol (17th) and at London’s Village Underground (18th).
Recent single ‘Kong’ is the perfect summary of the their unique sound, fun and colourful, all driven by clapping percussion and anthemic guitar strings; it’s The Notwist’s homage to 90s indie pop.
