Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Paul Weller top the bill for this year’s Downs Festival, which will take place on 1st September.
The third instalment of the one day festival has already announced some big acts, including the ex-Oasis guitarist and the Modfather himself, with The Heavy, Khruangbin, Nadine Shah and Dream Wife joining them on the main stage.
The second stage this year also has some heavy-hitters, including electronic duo Orbital, a DJ set from Basement Jaxx, drum and bass legend Goldie and the Heritage Ensemble, plus Laid Black and Channel One reggae soundsystem.
“We know there’ll be a huge amount of interest in seeing Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller live in Bristol,” Conal Dodds, co-founder of The Downs Festival co-promoters Crosstown Concerts, said. “Noel has never headlined a show in Bristol so we are really excited to bring him and his band to the city and I think we’ve got the best line up we’ve had so far at The Downs.”
Tickets will go on sale this Friday, priced at £49.50, with the first tickets available in person to buy at the Bristol Ticket Shop and The Love Inn. Tickets will then be available online at 9am.
