Martin Callingham is better known for his work with indie-folksters Joyce The Librarian, but comes now with his debut full-length ‘Tonight, We All Swim Free’, recorded with love at Bristol’s Toybox Studios [Perfume Genius, PJ Harvey].

Ten tracks plot the spectrum between charming and deeply affecting, with notable stops including lead track ‘Knots’ and the more meandering ‘Folding’. The former attains pace and groove without sacrificing an ounce of Callinghams trademark twinkle or timbre. If you’ve enjoyed Joyce The Librarian from afar over the years, there’s never been a better moment to make up for lost time.
