Having recently completed a UK tour in support of Deaf Havana, Cambridge rockers Lonely the Brave are embarking on a new set of headline shows across the country, including Bristol’s Exchange on 24th March.
Supposedly the ‘next big thing’ in British rock music, this tour supports the release of the band’s brilliantly constructed debut album The Day’s War. However, a LTB show is definitely something not to miss. Of course, you’ll have Mark Trotter jumping around and getting the crowd warmed up, but it’s vocalist David Jakes that you’ll want to look out for, as he appears to be in his own little world on stage. Not something you usually expect from a rock band, but it works – Jakes’ concentration brings out an intense, passionate sound in his already remarkable vocals, which more than makes up for his lack of stage movement.
