If you’re like me, you were pretty sure that 2015 was over. “There won’t be any more surprises” you told yourself, “I’ll stick the Tame Impala/Kendrick Lamar/Justin Bieber album on one more time and get ready for whatever crazy surprises 2016 has to offer”. But we’ve been fooled, lulled into a false sense of security. 2015 still has one more punch left in it, and it comes in the form of Bristol’s Idles new remix EP.
Yes that’s right, the noisiest band in the south west have pulled in some names to remix their recent MEAT EP. And who has undertaken this task? Oh only Slint’s David Pajo, The Vaccines’ Pete Robertson, Sly-One, and alt-J’s Thom Green. So yeah, no biggie then. The band posted on their Facebook earlier today saying “This was not a desperate scurry for names but a wonderful cluster of favours from people who had nothing to gain. Thanks to all involved. All is love.”
Head over to The Line of Best Fit to hear the remix EP.
