Hit The Deck Festival – First Wave Announced

HTD2014

For the past few years, Hit The Deck Festival has been nothing less than a success. Its line-up has consisted of some of the best established and up-and-coming rock and punk acts from all over the globe, combined with better-known must-sees – and this year will definitely not disappoint.

Hit The Deck is back in Bristol on April 19th with yet another incredible line-up, taking on four different venues around the city; The Fleece, The Exchange, O2 Academy and The Thekla. As if the excitement of HTD alone wasn’t enough, New York-based alternative rock mainstays Brand New were announced two weeks ago as the 2014 headliners, following their four-date UK tour in the same month.

A week later, a second announcement followed, detailing the first wave of bands to take over both Bristol and Nottingham, including People On Vacation (a two-piece collaboration from Bowling For Soup’s Jarret Reddick and Smile Smile’s Ryan Hamilton) and upcoming punkrock favourites Gnarwolves. Other acts confirmed for the 2014 line-up include Saves The Day, Brutality Will Prevail, Ghouls, Hands Like Houses, Memphis May Fire, More Than Life, Nai Harvest, Palm Reader, Patent Pending, Rat Attack, The Summer Set, Verses, William Beckett and The Word Alive.

As always, Bristol tickets are available from Alt Tickets, with prices ranging from £30.25 to £55.00. Doors open at 12pm, but remember to get your wristband first – info here.
