Harvey Causon is unstoppable. He’s getting in gear for a string of headline shows, has already announced a new single which will be released next month on new label, New Fugue and he’s also currently studying at university. How he manages to juggle all of these things is anyone’s guess, but it’s working wondrously. His debut EP was released back in 2016. Two years later he teamed up with fellow housemate and producer, Gabriel Gifford to create the effervescent EP Murphy’s Hand. Packed with grandiose synths and heart-warming vocals it’s a finely-crafted sonic showpiece.
If you caught his set at Bristol Harbourfest or at The Downs earlier this year, you’re bound to have been intrigued ever since. His silky-smooth R&B-inspired tunes, which are often equally doused in glitched and glittering electronica, ooze enchantment. If you’re a fan of Tom Misch or echoed soundscapes (or both), you’ll love Harvey’s serene and and minimal approach to his genre-bending back catalogue.
His homecoming – and headline – show will be happening this Saturday, supported by Jevon Ives of Cosmic Soul Collective. Be sure to grab a ticket, otherwise somebody else will be there and you’ll be missing out.
