If you haven’t got all your christmas presents yet, don’t worry: Bristol noise-punks Milo’s Planes have got your back. Mere months after the release of their second LP Delivering Business Success, the band are putting out a new four-track EP, named ‘Insects”, on cassette label Gravy Train.

The record is yet another confident step forward for the band, building on the Fugazi stylings of their previous output. The new record shows though that Milo’s Planes are carving out their own sound bit by bit. Opener ‘Insects’ is simultaneously the quietest Milo’s Planes song, with it’s melodic, eerie verses, and their loudest; quickly ramping up into the band’s most punchy, full-blooded chorus to date. Its quick change of dynamics, style and rhythms show just how much the band are growing sonically.

You can pre-order the CD or cassette versions of the EP here from Gravy Train Records. The group will be launching the EP, and playing their last show of the year, at The Crofters Rights, on 22 December, with support from Arrows of Love, Repo-Man and a secret guest.
