Perhaps amongst the most prolific bands to have the word psychedelic tagged to them, Brian Jonestown Massacre have simply got it.

Frontman Anton Newcombe has said that the live environment is where their music lives or dies. A sentiment which makes our excitement hit a sweltering high ahead of their Bristol show this June. Flaunting a timeless sound with their languid beauty – they don’t have anyone to really impress these days. Cutting through an industry which is sometimes quite painful – this is a band who have survived scraps, contracts and have emerged as definitive heroes.

This latest tour isn’t really in support of anything, although the overwhelming back-catalogue of the band suggests that we’re going to be thrown a few surprises on the night. Following on from their last visit to Anson Rooms, this show is going to be total bliss.

Brian Jonestown Massacre play Bristol Bierkeller on June 18th.
