Beats, Breaks & Bass | November

BB&B-nov

At Beats Breaks & Bass, we’re tasked with promoting the best of today’s underground bass music. #TripleB bridges fresh, forward thinking music from exciting acts to our community via West-based platforms like BBC Introducing, Bristol Live Magazine and more, as well as hosting dances across Bristol and beyond.

Let’s take a look at some of our favourite sounds this month:

Unkey – Come To Bury You

Unkey has been getting on his work this year in a big way, loads of collaborations across a number of genres, plus holding down his home team Durkle Disco on their monthly Nasty.FM shows. This one here is dark and grimey, with the element of tekkers we have come to expect.

Lamont – Far Away

Lamont came by the studio recently to chat about his new EP Far Away. The debut on local label Durkle Disco has been excellently received. Unfathomable success through is online release. The project is full of remixes from the likes of OH91 Hi5Ghost, Zed Bias and more. Check out the Beats Breaks & Bass soundcloud for the full interview.

Ethix – Ruble

Ethix is a is a producer creating fantastic House tracks that are often very diverse from the normal pop house that has taken over the UK in the last 2 years. His tracks are experimental and I am really expecting some great new music from him in the future. If you like your music progressive and beautifully syncopated then check out Ruble.

Jawjii – Ebone

Jawjii hit me up with a bunch of music when he moved to Bristol a couple of months ago for. We welcomed the lad with open arms. First I was inspired by the confidence he had in his beats and when he delivered the content #TripleB immediately deemed him as one to watch. Earlier at this month he played alongside Pearson Sound for Get Born and will be at Exit later this month.
